Who am I?
There are few people in this world who “know” from a young age what profession they want to work in. Mario, business owner of Qubic Contemporary Solutions, is one of those people.
Learning the trade
After finishing high school he attended Trade School (NVQ) for 3 years learning the trade of a joiner. From there he went onto Technical College, training as a ‘Technician of Building Engineering; Specialising in General Building Engineering’.
At the age of 22 he was given great responsibility working as a Foreman for the “Administration of Municipal Buildings” in his local city of Gdansk. He was responsible for overseeing teams carrying out Residential property refurbishment work, basic building works, joinery, plastering, tiling and decoration.
In the UK
In 2000 Mario moved to the United Kingdom and was employed for 8 years as a carpenter/joiner carrying out 1st and 2nd fix joinery works within Residential properties in London. With his keen interest for both architecture and interior design the experience working within high-end London properties was inspiring. His work included many aspects of carpentry: making kitchens, cupboards and decking. He regularly interpreted and worked from architects’ drawings.
In 2008 he joined Moyglen Construction Ltd. employed as a working site-foreman looking after large contracts, supervising all trades and sub-contractors. He was responsible for supervising complete refurbishment projects from demolition to completion.
Becoming a family business
In 2013, after the birth of our son, we decided to make the leap in opening our family run business with his wife, Leeza running the office.
Mario has always had a passion for architecture and interior design and with many years’ experience in carpentry and joinery works, plus his understanding of building engineering, he has a vast wealth of knowledge and experience to bring. It is his attention to detail and insistence on getting every aspect of work done precisely that make him great at what he does.
We truly believe that “every man’s house is his castle” and if we can bring a little beauty and joy alongside functionality to your castle; then, our work is done.
